Saratoga is a city found in the county of Santa Clara, California. The city is found on the west side of Santa Clara Valley and San Jose within the San Francisco Bay Area. Saratoga has an exciting art scene and a variety of activities which favor the residents coupled with being home to some unique places of attraction such as the Sanborn County Park, Savannah-Chanelle Vineyard, and the Hakone Gardens.Located on the western edge of Silicon Valley, the town has grown to be locally known for its small-town vibe with an attractive residential community. Saratoga’s historic downtown district has several shops, wineries, and top dining destinations and restaurants including Jakes of Saratoga, Plumed Horse, and The Basin. Before the incorporation of the city in 1956, some services were already in function leading to the city’s known success. Saratoga in 2009 was also listed by Forbes as being among America’s top 20 most educated small communities.Saratoga is well known for its expensive housing market. The city’s housing market was listed as the most expensive by the Coldwell Banker Home Report in 2016 and in 2010, the city was named by Bloomberg Business week as the most expensive community in California and named the city’s ZIP code 95070 in 2011 the 18th richest nationwide. Data from the American Community Survey in 2018 named Saratoga the 8th wealthiest city in the country.
