Los Altos Hills is an incorporated town in the County of Santa Clara, California. Created in 1956, the town is a first-class residential community of Silicon Valley situated close to the city of Los Altos, 5 miles south of Stanford University, 25 miles south of San Francisco and 17 miles north of downtown San Jose. The town covers a total land area of 9 square miles which contributes to its being considered as one of the smallest towns in the County of Santa Clara. Los Altos Hills’ ZIP code 94022 was listed by Forbes in a 2017 census to be among the most expensive ZIP codes in the country.The town is known to be a very nice community with a very close nature proximity which happens to be one of the best in the city. You find endless open spaces and trails to explore, the populated areas are given an equal share of wildlife which tend to pass through in the yards. The community has a rural setting which bans shopping or dining within city limits making residence frequent its neighbor city Los Altos. The towns only commercial retail operators are the “Gift Shop” and the “Book Store” found on the Foothill College campus. There are a lot of families in the area with some living in large gated estates while some live in areas with close daily contact with neighbors, making it one of the best for family startups with some great schools like the Pinewood School-Upper Campus and Gardener Bullis Elementary School.
