East Palo Alto is an incorporated city in San Mateo County, California. The city is situated on the San Francisco Peninsula, almost in the middle of San Francisco and San Jose city. To the south, East Palo Alto is bordered by Palo Alto City, to the north and east is the San Francisco Bay with Menlo Park to the west. Despite having the name East Palo Alto, the city’s precise location is north Palo Alto but it is often wrongly assumed to be part of the Palo Alto City. The city has always been separated since being founded as an unincorporated society.
